Death toll arising from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) complications in Katsina State hit 19 yesterday.The figure, which forms part of an update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) late Monday night, also shows that the state recorded seven new cases of the disease. With the new laboratory confirmed cases and 364 the previous day, the state now has 371 patients with the disease. It said 253 patients with the disease were currently on admission while 99 others have been discharged after testing negative for the virus. Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mustapha Inuwa, stated this during the funeral of the late District Head of Yantumaki in Danmusa Council, Alhaji Abubakar Maidabino. Inuwa assured that the perpetrators of the dastard act and related nefarious activities in the state would be hunted down and made to face the music.
